We started Vantage Point because the tools available to compliance functions in regulated firms either cost too much, did too little, or assumed you worked in a global bank. The real function ran on spreadsheets, shared drives and memory, and proved itself, when it had to, by reconstruction.
So we built the system we would want to run: obligations, risk, controls, monitoring, registers and reporting on one data model, with an audit trail that is the product rather than a by-product. Built with the firms who use it, and shaped for regulated firms wherever they are.

Four things that shape the product we build, the company we are, and the people we hire.
Practitioner-led.
Every feature is shaped with live compliance teams: Compliance Officers, MLROs, Heads of Risk, fund administrators, running real functions in real regulated firms. Nothing ships unless it is useful in the room.
Evidence over memory.
A compliance function should be able to prove what it did, when, and why, without a hunt through inboxes. Every record change is timestamped, attributed and retained. The audit trail is the product, not a log kept on the side.
Self-serve, and quick to live.
Pre-built obligations, a risk taxonomy and control mappings mean a firm is live in days, not months. Onboarding is included; your existing data is brought across for you. We do not sell consultancy time to make the product work.
Independent.
Vantage Point is a software company, not a consulting practice. There is no engagement we would rather sell you, which is why we are comfortable putting the product in the hands of the consultants who use it to support their own clients.
Built for the reality of a compliance function.
Most firms run several kinds of compliance at once, across entities, licences and, for administrators and consultants, a book of clients. Most tools handle one well and make the rest bend. Vantage Point is built for all of it.

One data model, one audit trail.
Obligations, risks, controls, monitoring, actions, registers and reports live in one system, so a board pack pulls live and every number in it traces back to a record.

Pre-built, kept current.
The regulatory library ships pre-built and is maintained as the rules move. Jersey is built; Guernsey and the Isle of Man are next. A new jurisdiction is a library expansion, not a re-architecture.

Entity-scoped by design.
A firm, a group, a book of client entities: ownership sits at entity, group or organisation level, and access follows it. Fund administrators and outsourced compliance officers run many functions in one place, each with its own data.

Standards as the spine, not the surface.
ISO 37301 gives the platform its structure and ISO 31000 its risk method; the surface speaks the language a compliance officer uses every day. Our own estate is run to ISO/IEC 27001, certified.

The committee pack used to take a week to assemble. Now it pulls live the day before the meeting, and every number in it traces back to a record.
Twelve client entities, each with its own registers and monitoring plan, and for the first time one view across all of them that I can put in front of the audit committee.
I run six client functions on it. Same methodology on every engagement, and each client keeps their own data and audit trail. That is how outsourced compliance should work.

Vantage Point is a remote-first company: the team works from where they live and we hire globally. Vantage Point Limited is registered in Jersey, which is where the company happens to be based, and the first regime we built for was the one we know first-hand: the Jersey Codes are pre-built in the library, and they shaped what an obligation, a control and a monitoring test look like in the product.
Because the platform is structured on international standards, ISO 37301 for compliance management with reference to ISO 31000 for risk and ISO/IEC 27001 for information security, a new jurisdiction is a library expansion, not a re-architecture. Guernsey and the Isle of Man are next on the roadmap; the firms that ask shape what follows.
Our own estate runs on Microsoft Azure, with each customer's data held in that customer's own region, and the way we run it is set out in full on the security and privacy pages.

Vantage Point’s founders built and still run SystemLabs, a Jersey managed service provider that looks after other firms’ infrastructure, security and cloud. Vantage Point is run the same way.
Steve Quinn, CEO
Steve co-founded SystemLabs in Jersey in 2018 and still runs it: a managed service provider responsible for the infrastructure, security and cloud estates of firms across the island. Keeping other people’s systems secure, patched and recoverable has been the day job for years.
He leads Vantage Point’s strategy and direction, and the security posture described on these pages is his to answer for. The estate Vantage Point runs on is run the way SystemLabs runs a client’s.
Jamie McDonald, CTO
Jamie co-founded SystemLabs with Steve and leads its engineering: the team, the architecture and the delivery discipline behind the platform SystemLabs runs its own operations on.
At Vantage Point he owns the product’s architecture and engineering, so secure development, code review and the release gates are part of how the product is built rather than a layer added afterwards.
